School of Information Science and Technology

The school has 5 undergraduate specialties: Software Engineering, Digital Media Technology, Internet Engineering, Information and Computing Science, Computer Science and Technology which is the National Key specialty authorized by Ministry of Education.

The teaching staff has now included 98 members. Among them, there are 12 professors, 28 associate professors and 52 lecturers. 69 teachers have got their doctor and master degree.

In recent years, more than 30 ministerial and provincial level research projects and more than 50 cross-cutting projects have been taken by the staff. More than 500 academic articles have been published in the home and international journals, among which 200 were indexed in SCI, EI and MR. More than 60 monographs and text books have been published too. Besides, There are 8 ministerial and provincial level research awards.

The school has the provincial key laboratory of pattern recognition and intelligent information processing. There is a quality engineering project about computer science and technology (outsourcing) specialty construction point. The school vigorously promotes the cultivation of high-quality applied talents based on business needs. And it pays more attention to the international exchanges and cooperation. Through the introduction of the CMU, Intel, Cisco, IBM and Oracle curriculum, it carries out the computer professional training with an international perspective. Through the integration of the governance, industry, academia and research, it sets up the "Platform+model+plug-in" personnel training model based on the innovative features of the school-enterprise cooperation. It carries out the"3+X" in the school teaching and enterprise multichannel, multi-level and sub-categories internship training combining the production and marketing convergence. Student teams achieve outstanding results in the National Mathematical Modeling Competition, National Association of Software Innovation Application Competition.
